the pedometer lies. twice around secaucus is six miles. And I'm super tired.
Well, I think I'm discovering things about my legs that I didn't know before. Like this whole propelling yourself forward acrossed the face of the earth thing. One thing you don't have to do on the treadmill is propel yourself. You can safely bounce up and down and the treadmill moves beneath you. On land, you must propel yourself forward in order to move. And I think I'm beginning to get that.
I think the thing I was experimenting with this time was having longer strides. I was reading that runners generally have strides that are longer than they are. If this is so, then 48 inches is kinda short for me.
I'm playing around with stretching my legs more. Finding ways to conserve forward momentum in my legs. Like some sort of perpetual motion machine.
well, I planned 4 miles. And I mostly kept to the route. There were some sections of impassable ice and snow. I had planned to attempt to go through it no matter what but the substance was packed so hard and was slippery. It was like walking on slippery rocks. Definite possibilities of twisted ankleness.
My pedometer says I did 3.444 miles in 5197 steps. I think that's wrong. But if it is 4 miles then my pace is 48 inches. I'm not sure that's right either. Or is it? I'm not sure I'm following the instructions on this doohickey.
The entire time I had Bob Marley's Redemption Song in my head.
Anyways, I'm not wimpy. I'm a marathoner.
Hey, a new Jimmy Buffett themed restaurant opened up in Secaucus. I had dinner there just now. I ordered the Tropical Mixed Grill Satay which is really a pile of meats on sticks on a bed of salad. It has dippin sauces. It was pretty good. Arranged nice. I should have taken a picture.
The big news is that they have karaoke on mondays. I'll be there!
Well, I guess I gotta rundown it all. I gotta get pictures up sometime.
Saturday: we got there. it was nice and sunny. Got the tour of the place. FDR Pebbles. It's a real family-centric resort. You get a free nanny. Grandparents and kids are free. It's 250 bucks a night though. We stayed 5 nights. They have a dive shop on the premises. BONUS!
Sunday: Dive shop is not open that day. But there's snorkling. Snorkled a bit. it was very cool. The boat took us out beyond the weeds to the reef. It's only 5 feet deep. I saw tons of urchins. A few puffer fish. Numerous uncountable tiny fish. Some eels. And a flounder that I got to harrass.
Monday: Dive day! NOT! The weather turned bad. Really windy. A bit cold. The water was too choppy. That day we sat around the pool. Took an historic tour around Falmouth. Went to Juici Patties, the best jamaican meat patties in the world.!
Tuesday: Today we dive! uhhh, no. The weather is still bad. More of a sit around the pool day. Played pool vollyball. The water was freezing, but you get used to it. Karaoke night! I sang Semi-Charmed Life, Blurry, Hanging for a Moment, Shout, and other ones. Yep, it was the Joel Show! I'm Karaoke Guy!
Wednesday: Last chance to dive! But it's a no go. The weather got worse. Cloudy and windy. We went to Dunns Falls instead. Climbed up the falls in freezing water. I got to hold the hand of a British girl. And there we these two older british guys in speedos who really didn't need to. But you couldn't help but look at their shrivilled vienna sausages.
Thursday: We left without a dive. I played one more round of bingo. One last jerk pork lunch(we had it every day). It was raining when we left.
Trelawny I think. Which means I'm some where near here:
I think.
Just a little review. I got Virtual PC 7 for my dad over christmas. It cost like 300 bucks. It came with Windows XP.
It's slow. Slower than older versions of virtual pc. And I don't think it's virtual pc. I think it's Windows that's slow. It comes with XP with service pack 2. And there's no way to get rid of service pack 2.
My experience on actual PCs is that service pack 2 makes your computer slow.

I think since I spend so much time in paragon city I should blog it some.
Here are some pictures from Neko Mimi's Positron adventure. A grueling six hour ordeal. The entire team, save one guy(who was a jerk), made it through the entire mission.
I also earned my Gravedigger and Positron badges!
New year's ROCKIN EVE! It's not the same without the Dick. But the Ball is still there. Get well, Dick!
