Apparently, for the past 6 months some company has been charging my credit card $9 a month.
WLI RESERVATIONREWARDS - 800-7327031 CT MAIL/PHONE is the line on my credit card statement.
If this is happening to you go to reservationrewards.com and plug in your email address under "Forgot Password".
You'll be able to log into your account and cancel your "subscription". I got refunded 9 bucks, but what the heck. They got 48 more bucks before that.
bastards. this is no small time scamming operation. These people made $86 million dollars in 2004.
There are plenty of articles that show that Webloyalty is a bunch of ripoff artists.
"Webloyalty is able to obtain people's credit card numbers directly from many of its partners and will charge monthly fees for a service some people might not realize they've signed up for."
"Rick Fernandes, Webloyalty's chief exec...confirmed that arrangements exist with at least half of Webloyalty's 70 corporate clients to obtain consumers' credit card numbers without the individual being asked to provide it."
My only hope is that what comes around goes around. They are scamming not only regular folks but the companies that they create these little rewards programs for.
I, for one, will never buy anything from fandango again.
