I was so sad about this whole election thing that I went out shopping and bought myself a Palm Tungsten T3. But for all the gadget goodness this brings, it doesn't help me deal with the fact that most of the voters thought appointing anti-abortion judges and preventing gays from marrying each other was more important than anything else.
Barring that there was any stealing of the election with untracable and unaccountable paperless ballots. It's sad that people care more about trying to control other people than they do about trying to do what's best for America.
A conservateing think tank said that basically most people in mid America are delusional. They live under the thought that Iraq ordered the 911 attacks and Bush is great for the economy and jobs.
Guess all the BS Ads worked like they should. I would hate to be in a battleground state watching 100's of political ads a day. oh, well life goes on.
Posted by: Charlie at November 4, 2004 04:42 PMOh, we were robbed of course. There are new revelations every day about the republicans stealing votes everywhere. One just came out where supposedly one machine in NC lost 4500 votes.
And don't think that that Diebold guy didn't say that he was going to deliver Ohio for the president. He sure did.
But, yeah, the fact is that this was way closer than it should have been. Kerry was right on all the issues and most of the newspaper editors in America endorsed him.
But those right-wing nutjobs took the election. In 2008, expect to have an election for the President of the United States of Jesusland.
